Accountability

We would rather be trusted than impressive.

These are the standards we hold ourselves to — how we count, what we publish, how we protect people, and what we refuse to claim before it is true.

How we count impact

Every number we publish has a written definition behind it. A meal is one prepared meal handed to one person. A person served is counted once in a reporting period, not once per interaction. Volunteer hours are recorded, never estimated. Nothing is published until a service day is complete and the counts are confirmed by our team.

Why some pages have no numbers

Where we have not completed and verified work yet, we say so plainly instead of publishing an estimate. Empty is honest. A number that appears here has been checked.

Dignity of the people we serve

We do not photograph or name people to prove our work. We do not tell someone's story to raise money. Anyone we help can receive help without appearing anywhere, and no support ever depends on membership, attendance, belief or anything given in return.

Privacy and consent

Requests for support are private and visible only to the small number of team members who review them. Photos and stories are published only with separate written permission that can be withdrawn at any time.

Safeguarding

Volunteer conduct, youth protection, background-check requirements, incident reporting and travel safety policies are being formally written and reviewed. We will publish each one here once it is approved rather than describe protections we have not finished putting in place.

Money and stewardship

Gifts are applied to the work they were given for. Costs are recorded per initiative so a completed program can be reported with what it actually cost. Full financial reporting will be published here once our first reporting period closes and the figures are verified.

Legal and nonprofit status

We publish legal, tax and registration details only after they are verified in writing. Anything not shown here is not yet confirmed, and we will not imply otherwise.

Governance

A formal board and officers will be listed publicly only once appointments are verified. Until then no one is presented as a board member, officer or fiduciary.

Have a question about our standards, or something you believe we should correct? We want to hear it.
